Convert USDZ Files on Mac

USDZ (Universal Scene Description (package)) is a 3D model format using the .usdz extension. Consul converts USDZ files to 4 other formats, and 10 formats to USDZ. Rename a file's extension in Finder and Consul handles the conversion automatically.

What is USDZ?

USDZ is the AR delivery format Apple and Pixar introduced in 2018, an uncompressed zip package bundling a USD scene with its textures in a single file. It is the standard for augmented-reality content on iPhone, iPad and Apple Vision Pro, and macOS previews it natively in Quick Look.

USDZ files are stored uncompressed. Nothing is lost to encoding, though they can take more disk space than compressed formats.

USDZ was developed by Pixar and Apple and is an open standard.
